25 Movies I’m Excited for in 2014

I had originally intended to put together an extensive list, sub-categories and all, of the films I was most looking forward to in 2014. However, life, along with things like work, family and other things, prevented me from doing so. Although it isn’t too late, my interest in composing a comprehensive piece has waned to the point where I want to rid my mind of it already. It must be said that putting together a comprehensive year-in-preview piece like this is a futile exercise as there are too many variables at work. There’s no way to tell what film will be discovered out of a film festival and become a word-of-mouth sensation or what under-the-radar independent will surprise everyone. In the end, a list like this serves as a collection of my most anticipated films from established auteurs and big studios. In the interest of record-keeping however, I figured I’d post my list up anyway. Who knows what I’ll be thinking in 12 months (or 12 days) time. Without further ado…
